Wait, now you're saying that ultras believe in vanguards? I thought their problem was that fail to see the value in leadership, demands, organization, programs, and the like.... Oh, and aren't you always saying that people should get money and funding and exposure from wherever they can, like you did on your stint at the (iirc) Hoover Institute this summer. But now it's de facto objectionable that some people get funded by Rockefeller and Ford? Damn, you're hard to keep up with.

This evasive, deflectionary "a lot," "some," etc. is maddening. Maybe you should write a screed against foundations to get it off your chest, then debate what people like Davis and writers here are actually talking about.
