Veterans for Peace
Vietnam Veterans Against the War
Iraq Veterans Against the War

After WW1 there was the group called the AMVETS, formed specifically to 
provide an alternative to the Legion. It didn't survive.

Re VFW -- that was the one place where Vietnam Veterns WERE in effect 
spit on in some locals: They were called LOSERS.
