I usually stay away from predictions, and tone down my critique of societies in which I am not embedded, lest I be accused of "not knowing about things 'on the ground'". Nonetheless, earlier this year, in one of the blogs/online spaces I try to keep I wrote something like: "They won't stop until they have transformed the entire country into Arizona".
