All this chatter about the style & culture of the visible fringe of the 
"ruling class" is perhaps interesting chatter, but of course it has 
nothing whatever to do with either the rule of the ruling class or the 
sturdiness of capitalist relations of production. It seems the chatter 
of people who, having permanently given up changing the world pacify 
themselves by sneering (pointlessly) at those who rule and or enjoy the 
present world.
