Those are the 'demands' that need to be made in the U.S. Only raising them here is a bit more complex because of the widespread delusion that we already have freedom and democracy. The way in which those associated with IPA here in central Illinois have formulated them is (roughly) Resist the Corporate Attack on Democracy. Friends from the local anarchist group, Common Action Free School, had to swallow a bit hard to accept that, since as they reasonably pointed out, we don't have any democracy to defend. They bought the argument, however, that most of our potential constituency do so think. It adds up to the same thing actually; that is, efforts to defend the democracy that doesn't exist are in fact demands for democracy.

As to having signs demanding socialism, they are not necessary. Any struggle for democracy today, if it prospers, will eventually run up against the necessity of destroying the wages system.
