They've got a shitty job, for sure, but a lot of them are just kids earning something like minimum wage, no?

^^^^^ CB: If the debt is big enough to make it worth the costs of going to court, i.e. in the hands of a lawyer, it isn't with the debt collector. The debt collector is trying to collect a debt that the creditor is not willing to go to court over; so debt collector has no legal pull over you. You don't have to talk to them at all, can talk shit to them , do whatever you want. The only pull they have is credit rating. You can say you are going to sue them for violating unfair debt collection practices act ( legal citation can be found through google) . That might make them stop calling. Say you are an attorney. ( giggles).
