I fucking hated Twitter for quite a while. Then eventually I found the instant response/reinforcement thing very compelling. It's very addictive, that little high when you get responded to, favorited, or retweeted. The thrill lasts about 15 seconds, then you want another. It probably destroys your brain, though not in the same way that cocaine does.
