Born in 1924, she is still alive, a dedicated animal rights activist, and dedicated supporter of the Republican party.
I have a friend who emigrated at age 7 from London with her family to LA in the 60s. Her view of the United States had been largely shaped by Doris Day movies, so she was in for a surprise or too.
