yes, so let's control guns because, we might not be able to stop the Big Pharma juggernaut, we can sure make it so people these drugs fuck up won't be able to kill as many people....

passing ineffective drug control laws feels like we're doing *something*. But trying to fight Big Pharma to keep us from getting slaughtered at the hands of a someone acting out *because* the drugs they are on .... fugheddabouddit.
