[WS:] It is not surprising that the working class is turning to the right.

However, a far more interesting question is what prompts "new" labour, socialists and social democrats to embrace neoliberalism? My hypothesis, as I argued here http://wsokol.blogspot.com/2012/01/day-after-neoliberalism.html is that changing class structure and the growing importance of the "technostructure" (i.e. techno-managerial personnel) prompts these parties to adopt a political stance that is appealing to this class.
