We can hope that American kids learn from the kids of Tunisia, Libya and Egypt! Actually, that's too pessimistic. The kids *are* learning from each others' struggles, and fast.
And I should note that my comment about the Empire's repressive political unconscious is only half the story - there are also deep reservoirs of unconscious anti-imperial and anti-capitalist sentiment in this country, locked away for decades by the Ice Age of market fundamentalism... until the volcano called Occupy came along.
