Cultures don't make choices--they ain't beings. People, including women, make choices. Does a woman undervalue her own presence?

Oh, Shane. Of course. You haven't noticed?
Trivial example: have you ever noticed that women will seldom say things like "I'm hungry." Rather, they will say: "Are you hungry?"
Cultures might not make choices, but they define the possibilities of choice-making for those who live in that culture. Cultures do not choose to be doctors, but they decree that men can and women can't.
