Oh how this made me laugh. Statler & Waldorf! That was perfect. I haven't thought of them since my own kids -- who are probably about Boots' age -- stopped watching the Muppets.
It isn't so much a matter of age, though. As shag notes, comrade Cox -- that venerable sage, a good two or three years older than I am -- has said much the same thing. And then there are foxy young blondes, about halfway up the academic ladder, doing the Statler & Waldorf schtick.
