I use Amazon all the time, but never for information. If I am looking for a book I find reviews elsewhere. The same for instant video rental and tools.
The last thing I ordered was a fancy fountain that could also be used for drawing and sketching. They had a picture and model number. The prices was too good to be true. I ordered. It was tiny. On further research it turns out that Pelikan M series has model numbers proporitional to the size of the pen I ordered an M200, and wanted an M1000. The vendor was in Brooklyn. Called them up and got an okay for the return.
Lesson. Only use Amazon as a wharehouse source after you have figured out precisely what you want, down to the identical model number and or other specs.
