I think he means I crudely tossed out history and thought, ignoring Lenin's life work, etc. Not wholly wrong, but I did say "core," leaving a lot of room for decoration.
But I do believe more people should read Lih or at least long reviews etc of Lih. We do need to get to know the actual Lenin, not the Puppet dreamed up by Stalin, Trotsky, and the bourgeois critics.
