True. Between and McCain and Bush II, he's a much more appealing to mainstream center left establishment. Certainly, as an embodiment of Finance, he is no threat to its interests. Not that the current holder of the office is somehow unfriendly to them. Still, they'd likely rather have a win-win.

What's been more interesting to me is the stuff Gingrich is throwing out in opposition to Romney - it's almost Marxist in it's vociferous critique of capitalism. (cf. Nixon, China, etc...)
