I agree with Carrol. Links should be accompanied by at least a few descriptive lines, or at least they should have clothes on.

This is impressionistic so others will have to test it against their own impressions.
I think the frequency of naked links or links with only a phrase or two from the sender are poisoning the list. Perhaps it is only my overly quick temper, but every time I open a post and do not have at least a substantive paragraph from the sender I get pissed off.
