This is the standard apologia for reactionary dictatorships. Stalin could claim it. So could Hitler, with equal justice. Millions, indeed, have materially benefited from Zionist colonization and even from capitalist looting right here. Right down to the Assads, Khomeinis, Saddams, Boumediennes, et. al. What is left out is the price demanded by these mafiosi--the agony of many more millions. All this on the basis of a total counterfactual--that the alternative to those regimes would have been just as bad if not worse. The fact that their whole system of government was centered on the violent suppression of workers' democratic rights testifies to the fact that in their own consciousness they were bulwarks against what the working class has always considered as social and political progress.
