[WS:] Good point.  I think what he does is telescoping which is worse
than just historicism.  In other words, this argument goes like "X was
found in the ancient times in Y territory, therefore X is is the
source of modern institutions in Y territory."  However he does this
mainly to denounce modern institutions - but this is not a fatal flaw
in his argument - just a minor annoyance.
