And it's not worth much.
Wisconsin chooses to drink its austerity straight, no sugarcoating.
The DP utterly failed to articulate anything remotely resembling a working class vision, interest, or priority. They presented Barrett as the option who doesn't have a legal defense fund and the option who didn't drastically cut education. Seriously, that's it, at least in my media market. And why should they articulate a working class, anti-austerity vision when they are beholden to the same interests as their competition? They demanded we vacate the Capitol, abandon the streets, drop our signs, collect signatures, and hit the polls, all while promising that we were winning. And dutifully we demobilized the most meaningful political activity most of us had ever created to put our faith in them. iHasta la victoria, siempre!
