I dunno. Falling in love with your therapist is to be expected so the therapist is cautioned to deal with it as something to be negated. Shouldn't the same apply to teaching? ___________________________________

Actually, the therapist doesn't negate it. It simply becomes another matter to focus attention on, rather than acting it out.

"Erotic" means something much more than sexual, and love casts a wide net.

There is an engagement that can take place in the classroom that, ideally, leaves everyone transformed. The Greeks called this the work of Eros. Look at something like the Phaedrus, where Plato goes into this at some length.
