I agree with Wojtek that teachers are under special attack.  I still
say the ruling class wants to dumb down the public ed system.  Think
of how the US system nice performance in the 50's and early 60's (
including improvements due to Sputnik) produced the sixties
generation.  They don't want a lot of thinking and scientifically
oriented 99%ers.  Attacks on teachers and their unions, charter
schools, vouchers, etc.  Then privatization is stealing tax money ,
too.
