Mr. Obama sidestepped some of the most sensitive and politically-charged specifics about the case — whether Mr. Zimmerman should be arrested; whether the “Stand your Ground” law goes too far in protecting people who shoot others; whether the police chief in the Florida town should be fired.

[WS:] which is too bad, because this is the essence of the matter. It is a fucking Southern state passing a law that de facto legalizes lynching that is at the center of it. One nutcase with a gun obsessed with security killing an unarmed person is obviously tragic and reprehensible, but this would be mere local news if it were not for the "stand your ground" law that this fucking limpdick state passed. Based on what I read, the police acted properly by not charging Zimmerann, since in the past similar cases were dismissed by Florida courts.

Instead of "being careful" O should call for a boycott of Florida products and tourism (both of them suck anyway). Go to Italy instead of Miami Beach or buy a bottle of French wine instead of Florida OJ. And sue the state for damages of the magnitude that will make their taxpayers scream. -- Wojtek http://wsokol.blogspot.com/
