Well, of course. And it's always easiest to point out intellectual discrepancies in others, when really, we all have them.
But for someone who opposes prisons - who actually sees them doing all harm and no good, as many seem to - how is it possibly "useful" to "take advantage" here? Why George Zimmerman, but not thousands of other alleged and convicted murderers? Such a jarring disconnect seems to demand, at a minimum, some justification.
If anyone's curious, I can explain why I don't like nationalism, but support Palestinian nationalism as the best actually-existing option. So why oppose imprisonment, but support the imprisonment of George Zimmerman? If there's an argument, I'm open to hearing it.
