Well, sure, the real enemy was and is euroliberalism, that uniquely European variety of plutocratic thievery, neocolonial plunder, and mass immiseration.
But the elections are an important waystation. Large numbers of French citizens voted for a Jeanne d'Arc to smite the minions of Eurocapital, but I hereby predict they're going to get "euroliberalisme hollande-aise" instead. And then things are going to kick off, as the kiddos say.
