Hmm. So is this a good thing or a bad thing? Depends on who these poor 'driven away' folks are. An image of the Gadarene swine pops into mind. Over the cliff with 'em, say I.

'Remonstration' is a fine word, recalling the golden age of political polemic, to wit the English Commonwealth.

Carrol's own 'remonstration', which evoked all these vapors, contained the following line:
