A resume does not document your private/social life. A resume simply presents evidence that you are qualified for a specific job because of prior experience and/or education. That's a far cry from having to tell your employer about the contraception you use....do men have to do it too? or the people you hang out with, or the movies you see.

Employers have been demanding social media logins lately as well. 

But nobody seems to question the right of employers to ask for a resume.
