Actually it was mostly white 99%ers who benefited ultimately from the
War on Poverty and Great Society programs won by the urban rebellion
protest struggle of the 1960's which were waged overwhelmingly by
Black working class 99%ers. Medicaid, Medicare, Headstart, Legal
Services for the Poor, HUD, revenue sharing and much more have had ,
no doubt , more white than Black recipients. Yet, the urban rebellions
get turned into the basis for a white supremacist "backlash" against
government poverty programs, "welfare". The whole 99% benefited from
the urban struggles waged mainly by Black 99%ers in the 1960's. Black
urban dwellers constituted a 99% political vanguard by those militant
actions for _all_ of the working class.

 They were mischaracterized as "racial violence" . They were class
protest direct action. Humans were not targeted but property, so they
were not "violent".
