I just now finally read Doug's piece. Very fine indeed. Particularly enjoyed the observation that 'vulgar Marxism explains 90% of what happens in the world'.
Back in the day I found Fitch's book a -- revelation, I was about to say, but that's not quite right. Rather, it made a richly factual and airtight case for some notions that had been rattling around in my own head for some time, so of course that made me very happy. And there was lots of stuff there that I had had no idea about -- the RPA was just a name to me, pre-Fitch.
