I just posted some notes on the introductory paragraphs of Marx's
Grundrisse.  I hope you find them of interest.  Let me know what you
think.  I touch upon (without fully discussing the matter) some ideas
that have been mentioned on these lists about modern capitalism being
oh so different that the law of value is abolished (if it ever was in
