Not. All speak similar German and write identical German. Catalans and Basques are historical peoples with languages very different from (Catalan) or entirely (Basque) alien to Spanish. They are nations in the proper sense, unlike Spain or Baden- Württemberg (and Bavaria seceded from Germany by setting up its own Soviet Republic in 1919--were the Bavarians to try to undo the proto- Nazi counterrevolution of that year who should object)? Anyway. wouldn't Germany be much better off without the CSU?
