Bruce's book is about his life as an open radical working in the fields as a rank and file worker. He made the migratory circuit too, from Mexicali to Salinas. More a memoir than Frank's but also gives a more in depth picture of farm work and life than does Frank, including the present. Plus the union actually assigned a goon specifically to intimidate Bruce.
