But seriously, did you expect any other outcome?  I did not.
Elections simply reflect the power balance of socio-economic classes,
the military, and the "civil society" (as Gramsci understood it), and
that has not recently changed in Venezuela.  So Chavez victory was a
done deal before even the first votes were cast.  Ditto for any other
country, including the US of A.
