Worked like a charm, thanks Gar!

The problem with my previous attempts apparently was that:

1. When you get the limited version of the article apparenty you get a cookie set, so if you return with the trick above it wont work, or

2. That it checks the referer page and it wont work if you use a native language - local country version of Google (ie Google.es, google.com.ar, etc)

Fortunately erasing cookies and then arriving to the article from the US version of the google seach (I used the old trick of www.Google.com/ncr to set it to the .com page and avoid redirection to local site) rather than the local/native language version of google (google.com.ar) took care of it...
