While it would be empty to "refuse" the "privilege" of finding English speakers all over the world, it probably doesn't hurt to spend a few minutes noting that the privilege _does_ exist and that it has roots. Ditto with _rights: pointless to surrender them but worthwhile noting occasionally that they are NOT enjoyed by many who ought to have them -- and see that fact through the lens of "An injury to one...."
