A solid color for each county is a very broad brush (kind of like that picture of Abraham Lincoln with an 8 x 8 grid of pixels), and it is of course especially misleading in cities such as New York, for example. Most people, I bet, don't think "Catholic" when they think of New York City. And even if there are more Catholics in the city than any other group (which doesn't mean that they are a majority, please note), are we talking white ethnic or Latino Catholics? Etc.
