The point is that if what the rest of us have to accept is bullshit abstractions in the absence of manna in heaven, it won't work.

[WS:] Not quite. Neolib mantra is not about goodies but about ideas - freedom, creativity, efficiency and kindred abstractions. Not that much different from medieval theological concepts. A simple mental experiment will suffice to show it. Imagine giving neolibs the following choice: (i) the state utilizing economies of scale and planning to providing material supplies to the entire population, OR (ii) free market that provides material supplies only to a subset of the population that can pay for them. I am reasonably certain that most neolibs would choose (ii) which means fewer goods but more bullshit abstractions.
