Whoever thought the US secret police didn't have "illegal" access to
everything on the telephone and internet ?. Since the great Liberal
Mr. Justice Holmes did not uphold the First Amendment rights of
socialists leafletting against WWI, the Palmer Raids, _Whitney_, in
which the great liberal justice Brandeis failed to uphold a
Communist's Bill of Rights rights, since the Black Panthers were
violated by the FBI  and police, we are not sanguine about the
durability of bourgeois democratic republic's shell of democratic
rights for Communists and socialists, anyway.

But the protest against the Patriot Act is very important and radical.
