I woke up suddenly this morning with the feeling I had committed the gravest of errors: a stupid historical mistake. Gregory Zinoviev, not Nikolai Bukharin, was head of the Communist International in 1923. Leo Schlageter was a Nazi martyr in the Ruhr. The pro-nationalist "Schlageter Line" was endorsed in a speech by the Russian Comintern representative, Karl Radek. I must remember never to make off-the-cuff historical pronouncements.
