It's clear the bourgeoisie is more unified and class conscious than the working class when their respective interests collide, especially on the most fundamental level of property rights and power. But there's also a range of issues concerning investment, taxation, trade, the strength of the currency, corporate concentration, industrial subsidies, etc. which result from differences within the capitalist class rather direct confrontation with wage and salary earners, even though the latter are inevitably affected by how these issues are resolved.
