----- Original Message ----- Capitalism and the needs of capitalism are the point of view you have to assume to understand the world. The U.S. polices the world for capitalism. Police forces (actual and metaphorical) came into existence to police workers and their allies for the sake of maintaining order, and order means the free functioning of capital.
That you happen to disapprove is irrelevant.

The world political-economic--the inter*nation*al system--needs the US to be the renegade police force, the law-breaking law enforcer. It's not a congenital defect, and there wouldn't be international comity if the US were nicer. ___________________________________
The U.S. is a police force? Against whom that matters and in what way that matters?
Looks to me like they're a dangerous, overreaching, destabilizing force with delusions of grandeur and zero political sophistication.
