Ah, yes. All those smug predictions by the Blairites and the rest of the British political establishment that the Oldham by-election would see the Labour vote collapse, justifying an early party coup by the old guard against the new Corbyn leadership.

This is what was widely predicted in the lead up to the election:

Instead, Labour's share of the vote was up 7.5% from the general election in May. It's another shock for the Corbyn haters who are already and predictably spinning the result as a victory "in spite of Corbyn rather than because of him."
