I remember those days. Even Justin was an Obama enthusiast back then. He has since gotten over that.

Anyway, 2004 was, I think, the year that the antiwar movement died. A lot of erstwhile antiwar activists went on to campaign for John Kerry, just as they would, four years later, campaign for Obama. Meanwhile, the Iraq and Afghanistan wars continued on.

When in 2004, when everyone was drooling over Obama's Convention speech, Carl Estabrook and I were called purists for our dubts.

Little-Bit-Better Theory only leads to drowning in 99 feet of water instead of 100 feet.

And we _are_ drowning in Austerity and Endless War.
