Yes, and it's also something very different than the Palestinian national movement. If you inexplicably expect the latter to act like a solidarity movement itself, you've missed the plot badly . And if you expect the BDS movement to accomplish anything in the absence of a Palestinian movement stronger than the current one, you have, in fact, exaggerated the extent to which solidarity matters. Solidarity with a thing is not, and cannot be, a substitute for the thing itself.
