[lbo-talk] Ralph Nader: Why Bernie Sanders was right to run as a Democrat

Browsing through some 18 years of lbo-posts, it seems to me that, overwhelmingly, the discussions (including my own posts) have grossly underestimated (a) the resiliency and power of capitalism/capital and (b0 its destructiveness. And I think lbo-talk has been (perhaps still is) a trustworthy microcosm of left thought and practice in the U.S. (and perhaps/probably of thought/practice in other 'advanced' capitalist societies. Leftists still do not Know Their Enemy. (Probably Black Agenda Report comes closest to avoiding this weakness.)  The extreme manifestation of this misunderstanding of the Enemy is the belief the Sanders campaign has generated that popularizing the word, "socialism," represents a gain for leftist.
