Alfred S. Eichner, an American, edited a book called "WHY ECONOMICS IS NOT YET A SCIENCE", which was published by THE MACMILLAN PRESS LTD. 1983. It is because up to now there has been no real scientific theory of economics in the world that the vast majority of the people of the whole world (over 60 percent) are still living in poverty, suffering from cold hunger. And it is because poverty has been greatly threatening world peace that there still exist wars and regional conflicts in the present world, and there still exist contests of nuclear weapons. (As is known to all, India and Pakistan are conducting nuclear tests.) It has been more than forty years since the revolution touched off by Keynes' work "THE GENERAL THEORY OF EMPLOYMENT, INTEREST AND MONEY" took place, Alfred S. Eichner said, people have every reason to expect that the revolution of a new economic theory is coming soon.
