Hello everyone,

Paul Henry Rosenberg Thursday Aug. 13, 98 writes: "I hesitated before jumping into this discussion. I now think I should have hesitated even longer. It grows ever more remote from the subject of this list. So this will be my last post. (Reply to me off-list if you REALLY have to)."

Doyle As Doug sometimes points out to people we can write about anything we want to. Why would I want to write to you off list? Because you are a buddy of mine? Sometimes a thread loses steam, loses interest to folks. I tend to suspect that you don't have anything much to say about the subject matter at hand. That is ok. However since this is a public forum with the possible furtherance of understanding in various areas I decline your invitation to a private conversation about what I think of your views upon the brain.

Doyle Your signature line refers to Reason and Democracy. Reason is an Enlightenment term referring to rationality or removal of sentiment, and religious dogma from the affairs of the secular state. Isn't that some sort of ancestor of Positivism? regards, Doyle Saylor
