I don't necessarily disagree that workers should control the conditions
of their labor, but I'd appreciate a simple, explanatory example of why
that I could pass along on occasion.

And which one is it where a bunch of elite technocrats control the
conditions of labor-- social democracy or socialism?  Do you have some
real-life examples or am I going to have to depend on theory?
