sexy "interdisciplinary" spin, you get words like "homologous" and perhaps
even "phylogenetics" appearing in Butler-type writings."

Isn't a lot of this stuff related to the wasteful inefficiencies of
Capitalism  

Justification is a dangerous primary motivation.   

Justify your existance, your salary, your privilege, your authority, pretty
soon, things like equalitarian values, clarity, a generous spirit, get in
the way.
