Ignore foolish moralistic injunctions.

Purely from a political point of view, there is a thin case for avoiding Nike. It has become a symbol, so not wearing something with the 'swoosh' is also symbolic, albeit little more than a gesture.

My previous car was a Honda, which caused me to endure occational wisecracks, notwithstanding the fact that it was built in Canada by well-paid union labor.

I resolved to buy an American car for replacement, bought a Lumina, and when I got home with it noticed on opening the door that it too was built in Canada. But nobody has said anything.
